Fontaine’s Story
Since, I was 11 years old I manifested I would become a lawyer. Throughout this journey I gained a closer relationship with GOD.
He makes no mistakes. But sometimes I question why me? Why this situation? Why why why???
Many don't know my testimony, but I took the LSAT three times, denied entry to several schools, and doubted my purpose.
For 4 years were filled with trials and tribulations. I was depressed, suffered from anxiety, and at times could not get out of bed. But then, there is God. "And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord." Luke 1:45
I only was accepted in to one law school. Not a T14 or Yale Law School that is literally and figuratively next door.
To that little black girl, your dreams are never too BIG.
My path to and during law school has been very unconventional and I am still figuring things out. There is so much I wish I knew/took more seriously prior to pursuing my degree. But I made the best decision based on the information I had at the time. However, I want to share my story to ensure others are better equipped, engaged, and encouraged with more resources and knowledge than I was afforded. So stay tuned for tea.
I may not attend a top institution, have a Big Law Job (I do not have it yet), on law review, or moot court. But that does not define my story.
